Back on Track:

The Scott County Board of Education sponsors the Back on Track program through the Center for Lifelong Learning. Back on Track serves out-of-school youth aged 16-18 years old in Scott County. This out-of-school program is designed to help youth reach their goals by getting them “Back on Track”.

The Back on Track program is an intensive program for out-of-school youth that offers GED preparation, English as a Second Language (ESL), workplace readiness, leadership development, community education, as well as employment and college preparation.

Youth participate in leadership activities and service projects to focus on communication skills, resume preparation, interviewing skills, study skills, and job search techniques. Leadership activities and service projects are offered to assist students in preparing for the workforce.

The mission of the Back on Track program is to provide educational opportunities to individuals of Scott County while promoting personal success and a strong community. It is also a vision of the Back on Track program that all individuals value education, learning and self-improvement as a lifetime pursuit.
