BLUE - By Learning U Earn:
The BLUE (By Learning U Earn) Program offered in the Bluegrass Region (see below) gives out of school individuals age 18 - 24 an opportunity to learn while earning a paycheck. Participants will participate in a 1-week work readiness program and a 6-week work experience program earning $7.25 per hour. Work Experience sites will be matched to your interest, skills, & abilities.
The BLUE program is for individuals who are economically disadvantaged and/or who have been unemployed for at least 6 weeks. Complete the application below to see if you are eligible.
Bluegrass Region: Anderson, Bourbon, Boyle, Clark, Estill, Fayette, Franklin, Garrard, Harrison, Jessamine, Lincoln, Madison, Mercer, Nicholas, Powell, Scott and Woodford Counties.
Qualifications:
- Desire to gain valuable work experience
- Live in the Bluegrass Area
- Be between the ages of 18 - 24<
- Be economically disadvantaged (income guidelines listed below)
