What is WIA?
- The Workforce Investment Act of 1998 or WIA for short, is a “Work First” program designed to assist clients with obtaining suitable employment.

How Do I Participate in the WIA Program?
- If you are interested in becoming a participant in the WIA Program and benefit from the services listed above you must first visit a local Central Kentucky Career Center and watch the WIA Orientation Video. During you're visit you will be given an orientation folder and asked to complete the paper at your own pace before being seeing by a Workforce Specialist.
IMPORTANT: Once you view the video and complete the paper you must call a Workforce Specialist in order to schedule an appointment. A Workforce Specialist will not contact you to schedule your intitial appointment.
