Can a person drop out of a training program to enter an OJT?

A:
 Yes, if the WS agrees that it is in the participant's best interest.  However, the participant  cannot re-enter training later.

Q:
 If a person goes into an internship following training, who handles follow up -- the WS or the  BSS?

A:

The BSS would handle follow up since he/she is now working with the participant and has  his/her file.
Q:

When enrolling a Trade affected worker who was laid off from a company that closed (permanently) or had a substantial layoff,  do you select Category  1 DW or Category 2 DW if no list  of affected workers is available?

A:

We must enroll a person as a Cat. 2 DW if he/she meets the requirements of being involved in apermanent closure or substantial  layoff.  If no list of affected workers is available, use a copyof the WARN letter and participant's pay stub or copy of TRA eligibility determination letter,  selecting "WARN with list of names."  Do not select "Employer Statement" for the UI Release of 
Information.

In most cases, the employee also received a letter of expected separation from the employer.   This would be excellent documentation.
Q:

Can staff delete funding?

A:

If allowed by EKOS, staff can delete a service if funding was never attached.  For example, you add andsave an incorrect service before  realizing that it is not the one you meant to select.  

You can delete this service if you did not also attach funding to it.
