Academy for Continuing Careers, Employability, and Soft Skills (ACCESS)
ACCESS is a work readiness academy that will provide those who choose to commit to it everything needed to enter full-time employment and to keep that job. The purpose of this academy is to match you, the job seeker serious about finding a good job and keeping it, with employers who are looking for a great employee.
Bridges Out of Poverty
Participants will increase awareness of how economic class impacts life experience, resources and stability. Customer service and teamwork in business and community settings are improved. This seminar is based on the book Bridges Out Of Poverty: Strategies for Professionals and Communities a collaboration between Ruby K. Payne, Philip DeVol, and Terie Dreussi Smith.
CODE:YOU!
Code:You! is provided through the Kentucky Career Center - Bluegrass in partnership with Code Louisville.
Code Kentucky is the expansion of Code Louisville currently serving Northern Kentucky/Greater Cincinnati, Appalachia, and the Lexington/Bluegrass regions. The training is for adults who reside in those areas and is 100% free to participate.
Family Childcare Training Program
Childcare is a high-demand field in the Bluegrass area. To assist in meeting this need, the Kentucky Career Center - Bluegrass/American Job Center has partnered with the Child Care Council of Kentucky to assist individuals who are interested in creating at-home child care service, improve their current child care service, or learn more about the requirements of running a child care in Kentucky.

Nurse Aide Training for Lincoln & Garrard Co. Residents
This is a special partnership between the Kentucky Career Center - Bluegrass/American Job Center and Bluegrass Community and Technical College to fund free training for 6 individuals pursuing a career as a nurse aide.
REQUIREMENTS:

Must live in Lincoln or Garrard County

Must be between 18 - 24 years old.

Commit to 8 weeks of training.
OTHER INFORMATION:

Transportation to and from campus is provided.

Training is one day per week (Mondays) from 9 - 3:30 for 8 weeks.
Putting Young Kentuckians First
The Kentucky Career Center - Bluegrass/American Job Center is part of a new 2-year, $20,000,000 statewide initiative to place Kentucky’s 16–24 year-olds in self-sustaining employment. Putting Young Kentuckians First is included in House Bill 1 from the 2024 Kentucky Legislative session.
We are focused on assisting individuals 18-24 years of age with short-term training, work experience, on-the-job training, and other services to secure full-time employment that provides a livable wage.
If you are between the ages of 18 and 24 and would like to begin a career immediately without wanting to pursue a two to four-year degree, then this initiative is for you!

The Kentucky Career Center - Bluegrass/American Job Center now offers career exploration and training through Oculus virtual reality headsets. Jobseekers can explore on-the-job scenarios and gain skills through simulated activities using these virtual reality headsets.
