Row Crops:

Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Operating farm machinery to plant, cultivate, harvest, and store crops (e.g., corn, wheat, soybeans, hemp).

• Attaching implements such as plows, discs, and drills to tractors.

• Tilling soil, planting, and cultivating crops.

• Husking and shelling corn, lubricating and repairing equipment, and unloading grain.

Hemp:

• Using mechanical setters to plant hemp.

• Chopping weeds with hoes.

• Cutting and hanging hemp in barns.

• Using a stripping machine to remove floral material.

Nursery:

• Preparing soil and growing media.

• Planting, spraying, weeding, and watering plants, shrubs, and trees.

• Tying, bunching, wrapping, and packaging floral items.

• Loading trucks for market.

• Transplanting seedlings and potting plants.

• Delivering products to customers.

• Performing general equipment maintenance.

Greenhouse (Hemp):

• Planting in pots and installing water lines.

General Conditions:

• Additional hours may be offered (not required) depending on the workload.

• Workers report daily to the employer-assigned location and may work up to 10 hours/day depending on field and crop conditions.

• Work on federal holidays and Sabbath is voluntary.

• Expect downtime due to weather or other uncontrollable conditions.

• Workers must be prepared to work in varying conditions, including wet fields, rain, and temperatures from 10°F to over 100°F.

• Physical requirements include standing, bending, stooping, and lifting for prolonged periods.

• Safe and careful operation of all equipment is required.
